Transmission Failure on a 2014

I remember that. Lucky they covered it under warranty ($$$$).

Same time Josh had to sue Toyota for his POS lemon Tacoma.

I should of just let mine sink in the hurricane and collected the insurance money vs trying to save it.

 

Ive had my 2014 for a year to the day, 12k miles and its at the dealership for transmission problems.

 

Could you be a little more vague?

What kind of transmission problems real or suspected?

Anyways, truck felt like it was going into neutral than slamming back into drive while driving around. After it did this a few times it started throwing the check engine light and the trac light… First few times they told me its nothing, 10 minutes after leaving dealership the last time it acted up again. Than they changed a "pressure solenoid" thinking that was the issue which it wasn't. Now they are just replacing the entire transmission and ill find out if they figured it out when I pick it back up at the end of the week which I doubt they will be able to tell me. they couldn't get it correct the first few times.

 

This ( RED ) tells us exactly. The dealer has no idea and they decided to cut the loss and replace it. Easier for them, faster for you and they will send the old transmission back to Toyota to be analysed for defects.

Dealerships dont do any work to valve bodies even if the issue is straight forward .
