I've read guys talk about a DAC button.so I'm wondering does my truck have any of those features? As i dont see a button to push but i noticed on hills it holds me at 60km without a problem dosent gain any speed going down a hill. Thanks

You don't have HAC / DAC , it only comes on the TRD Offroad trucks which are not available in Canada in a doublecab ( 4 door ) , I assume you have a TRD Sport

    Here is some info though

Oh , interesting , so it could be a US truck , but is it a TRD Offroad ? Does it have the Diff Lock button ( locker ) ? Is it a 5' bed ?

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I had a 2005 Tacoma PreRunner with the Off road package.

I remember that the dash was pretty sparse...only traction button I recall was the RR Diff Lock.

The newer Tacomas with the TRD package I do recall having the DAC and ATRAC buttons on the dash when I sat in them (4x4 models).

Oh OK , that changes things , if you look at the link I posted it will give you some info on the DAC / HAC system

According to that thread though , without a DAC button , you do not have DAC

Okay thanks. Its weird tho going down a steep hill you can feel the truck slow down and hold at a lower speed.

That's most likely the engine braking feature that the Tacomas have , a tap on the gas usually resolves that

Yeah, quite a few cars advertise that feature...my Honda has "intelligent grade logic control" which will detect an incline or decline and hold a lower gear for more engine braking/power.
