So WeatherTech floor mats claim that they are all laser measured to fit your vehicle. I have an 08 access cab 6 spd. When I put them in the first time, the clutch peddle TOTALLY hangs up on the front of the mat. They are only fitted for automatics. I tried to get a hold of WeatherTech and the only thing they said is to try the a different model.
I feel duped. It doesn't fit the driver side. I don't want to cut it but it looks like my only option but it voids the warranty.
    Beware, manual drivers.

The website indicates for automatic only if I remember correctly. The solution is simple: get a razor knife or pair of scissors and cut a small area out for the clutch. I did this and it worked just fine.

It's pretty easy to trim. Just depress the clutch on top of the mat and trace where it hangs over. Weather tech does state on their website that it doesn't fit Tacoma manual trans. I was like you at first, didn't want to trim, but didn't see many options otherwise. You'll never notice once you do trim and they fit great. Not sure what you'd need the warranty for anyway, they're pretty tough. I say go for it!

Not a fan of Weathertech mats. They have holes for the clips to hold them in place. I always have water leaking through the holes. I have much better luck with Husky. Husky uses little rubber nibs under the mat to grab the carpet. I never had them slip and no leaking holes. They cover all carpeted areas including the left foot rest. Easy to remove and install.

CLEARLY states on WeatherTech's website that they don't fit a manual...you need to pay more attention to detail. :)

So it's not their fault...it's yours.

It takes 5 minutes to trim the mat. Less time then to start this thread...

Op - If you trim them and decide to go another route, I'm sure someone would pick em up quickly from the buy/sell/trade thread.

True. They are popular. Bought mine almost 4 years ago knowing I'd have to trim for my clutch clearance. Never gave the warranty thing a thought ... it's a rubber floor mat. :notsure:

    Things I need to tow.
Regarding water leaking through the securing holes...

I made it through a pretty severe winter and never took on enough snow/water to even get close to reaching the holes. The pegs can be easily sealed over temporarily if necessary. (I used a small dab of office-type rubber cement that rolls off easily when dry.)

Regardless, considering the lawsuits Toyota has faced over floor mats, you'll likely never see another model without positive floor mat anchor points. And any manufacturer that wants Toyota to sanction their product and allow them to be sold alongside their own will have to conform, which I'm sure is why WeatherTech does. Toyota's own mats will forever carry warnings and their manuals will have pages dedicated to them, as they have for other liability sensitive items like seat belts and child seats.

My 2012 WeatherTechs did require some trimming for the clutch. The 2013 WetherTechs I ordered did not. They worked right out of the box.
