I just added a 2012 mirror and backup camera to my 2010 sr5 tacoma (4.0l v6 access cab 4x4 if it matters)
When I first plugged in the mirror there was a big "E" and two small dashes above it. After driving around the block I figured out it didn't change so I went through the menus in the mirror and changed the temp and compass to don't display.
But it got me thinking, is there anyway to add these options? I did a quick search but didn't really find anything. My mirror doesn't have home link but does have auto dim.
I would really like outside temp. My sister has it on her 2013 corolla and tells me every time she gets in my truck.

    Update,
so I now have the compass working in my 2010, but the temp. still is not working.
Anyone have any thoughts or a link I can go to to get this working?
    Thanks

but i do know that you cant use your stock temp sensor tho :pout:
