Help, Missing skid plate?

My 06 sport only has the 1 skid plate.

Yep, did this and there is no evidence of anything being attached to the empty bolt holes.
I kinda want one now

Look at the threads where it bolts up and see if they are shiny. If they are, you had one. And the one we are talking about is not a fuel tank skid.

Yup my 06' TRD Sport only had the 1 front skid plate. I added the TRD skid plate and I really like the look of it.

I can confirm that I have an 08 prerunner SR5 and even it has both of the black skids in the pic above and you do have to remove the back one (smaller one in pic above) for easy access to the oil drain plug. Go back to the dealer and demand they up one because they left it off after they changed the oil. Who cares if it was even really there to begin with or what year model trucks are different.....the dumbasses don't know they left it off so they won't know whether it had one to begin either. All they will know is that it is not there when you show them and that they changed your oil. 1 + 1 = they left it off. Make them put one back. All 6 lug trucks should have 2. If they don't then either the fuctory forget it or dealership oil change stooges left it off at some point. Haphazard non-ISO assembly quality control practices are outside the owners responsibility and should cost the company.

The Who cares if it was on there to begin with part is bs. This is the reason why people that do loose their shit at the dealer or any service place or have to make a claim at any above said places have a hard time. If it didn't come with one or was removed previous to you buying the truck then it's not the dealership or service areas fault. And saying it is will only cause other people to have difficulties down the road. I really hope you're not one of "those guys."
