Thinking of getting these (2014 DCSB) and was wondering for those of you that have them.

    1. Do you get a lot of wind noise from them?
    2. Best place to buy from?
    3. How much load can they carry?
    4. Anyone with leak issues?

If you had it to do over would you go with another brand/type?

    1. Not that I notice
    2. not sure, but I mail ordered mine at TRDparts4u, which I believe is Toyota of Dallas.
    3. 250 lbs (I think--someone else might know for sure)
    4. no leak issues for me

Overall I'm please with them though I don't use them very much and don't put heavy demands on them. I mainly use them to transport a large wooden kayak. The retractable feature is mainly what drew me to them

If you leave them across they are very noisy, but left straight no noise at all.
Mine are used for front tie downs for kayaks.
Poundage not sure. I don't think I would ever put something too heavy on them.
    No leaks.
Mail order from some where in Mass. Was the cheapest at the time.

Like said above if you leave them across they are really loud, could add a fairing I would guess to quiet it down.

I found them for $212.00 on line if I go that way. Thanks to all for the feedback.

    1. Only when deployed and it's not bad. In fact, deployed with nothing attached is much quieter than deployed with a load. I do keep them deployed empty sometimes just for fun.

    2. I bought mine from the local dealer for $224 without issue. Just asked them to price match.

    3. Cannot recall. Holds two ocean kayaks securely.

    4. No leak issues. IIRC the included install kit contains sealant for added protection.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
^^ He quoted me $255 shipped to SC the other day. I found them on e-bay for less shipped from other dealers.

Use my bed brackets to carry stuff in the bed, instead of the roof.

No wind noise, easier to get to.

KB VooDoo I have a topper on and a tool box in the bed. Looks like they would still work and I can see a use for other things for those in my case.

As for price Amazon has them for $212.00 my local dealer wants $300.00 plus tax.

The OEM rack is rated for 100 lbs, I'm pretty sure. I have my documentation somewhere, but I am almost 100% positive it's a lot less than 250.

    1. They are noisy with my ski racks on there (which is my main use for it). Take those off and stow the bars, and it's pretty much silent, and no MPG difference.

    2. I paid about $220 through a local dealer, with a coupon.

    3. Again, pretty sure 100 lbs.

    4. Not a single leak issue of any kind with mine.

VooDoo I know yours are great, but I will mainly use racks to haul one or two kayaks.

Those on Amazon will work on my 2014. Called Daytona Toyota the seller on Amazon and verified. Called my local Dealer Legends Toyota and they matched the price (almost). Thought I would at least try and build a good relationship with them. Also there was a question as to the ones on Amazon being true OEM.

Thanks for all the great feed back from all.

Yeah and one guy said he was sent a used one, my toyota dealership won't match it so I'll be trying my luck with Amazons.

Nice, but the Kayaks are to long to work with them.
