I Finally got my cooper discoverer s/t maxx put on my truck a few weeks back and just wanted to do a little review since when i was looking for some info on them couldnt find very much. I havent really seen this tire on very many trucks yet. I got them in 265/75/16 and i have a 2.5 leveling kit, but no rubbing issue at all. If you have any questions feel free to ask. They are alittle loud but they do great in mud and rain. and i love the look of them.

I have them on my truck and love them. 265/75/16. I have a little bit of rubbing but that's on a tired 70k suspension and 1/4" spacer lift in the front. These tires are awesome in the rain and snow, so far no trail riding yet but I'm sure they will do great. They are a bit heavier though than the stock wheels they replaced, last time I check they were around 49lbs each and I lost about 3 mpg total. But the sidewall is armored and you can air them down quite a bit on the trail without issue. Road noise has increased a little in the 6k miles I've put on them but no complaints at all. I do have an issue with one of them losing air when its really cold out but I think that's an issue with the install(TPMS light comes on every couple of weeks), and I'm going to have the shop take a look at it at some point. No other complaints though and I love these tires! I think I paid around $1200 installed, balanced and alignment OTD.

Thanks for the review guys. Been looking at these tires, but like you said, not a whole lot of feedback on them around here.

Poe I think you already said they did good in snow, but how are they on the roads with slush and ice?

Can anyone compare these to a BFF mud tire or the Goodyear mtr's in terms of on road winter performance?

I live in kentucky and we had a pretty good winter, we recently got about 4 inch of snow and a couple of inch of ice under it. My truck did excellent in it and my buddy has a raptor with general grabber and he was spinning every where and hard for him to stop.. yeah there is a big weight difference there but i think these tires are underrated and are a great tire. As far as slush i havent really paid attention to it.

That's great to hear. Definitely an under rated tire, just don't want to have the white knuckle ride that I had with my MTR in the snow with a new setup

I have the exact same size on my 96 Taco with no leveling kit. I get a little rubbing when I make a hard turn. I had my truck in mud and water up to the bottom of my door and these tires just crawled on out of it. I was really impressed. I have always ran BFG AT on my truck since I bought it new, and they would get clogged up with mud. These tires self clean pretty good. I am satisfied so far. Just will have to see the longevity of them.

Yeah a spot i go to around where i live with some friends there are some spots that we always stay away from, and when we used to go up there at times i would have to put it in 4x4 but no i just eat threw everything in 2wd with these tires. and yes they do clean themselves very well.

My 2013 DCSB is gonna be a very mild build; and be a street truck probably 95% of the year, and run stuff like Alpine Loop in CO for vacation twice a year.
So, I've had and liked the BFG AT's for this use.

I could deal with "a little more road noise," but not a lot.
I've had BFG and Goodyear MT's and MTR's, and I'd hardly call those quiet to start with, and they don't "wear well," in that they get louder as they wear.

These would have to be much closer to the BFG AT KO road noise level for the extra trail worthiness to really be worth it to me.

From the review I read on wheelers magazine, they are pretty quite for a mud tire.

    Edit: here is the review

OME 885's with Dakar leafs, Nitrocharger shocks, Pelfreybuilt HC rear bumper, swing gate tire carrier and rotopax, OBHS
I also have a set in the same size as the op and don't regret them at all. I have had them in deep snow, and hard pack ice, slush, and rocks. So far they leave nothing to be desired. I am running a full OME kit with 885s on a DCSB and do have a little light rubbing on the LCA's. Another local member is running the same kit and tires as I and has the same rub issues. It' very minor though. This is with factory 16" OR wheels. I have about 6,000 miles on them and they are wearing well running 38 psi on road and 16 on the trails. I payed about 1,100 out the door with install, protection plan, and alignment. I will be getting this tire again when these wear out, however I will upgrade to a 285. I love the look and the performance. I still put a lot of highway miles on the truck and have only lost 1 mpg. They ride smooth at highway speeds. A little noisy when rolling at slow speeds.

Not to downplay the review of the Coopers but is it just me or does it look like the OP needs an alignment?

may be the pic but it looks like the driver side is toed in, and the passenger is toed outward (don't know if that's proper alignment terms). I think its the pic though and the shadows. The pic in the op looked fine to me

By the way Poe, what rims you going with?
