Today, I noticed my drivers side roof molding strip was gone off my truck. Are these hard to replace??
It looks like there is only two plastic snaps that attaches it to the roof, is that correct??
Where , besides the dealership can I get one??
    Thanks
    Barry

My passenger side did the same thing.

It was from a car wash, the blowers at the end .

I had the dealer replace it . It has a couple clips and double sided tape.

i think it was 150 - 200 bucks to get done.

The driver side on mine came off at the car wash on my 14 only had it 3 months... It was covered under warranty. They ordered it two weeks ago and I guess it was on back order but mine came in yesterday. They said the new ones the replace them with are better quality. Sad part is they need the truck for 3 hours to install... I bet it takes at most 5 min and the at the extreme... New one is getting put on Saturday

This might be a stupid question, but what is considered left or right of truck???..Is the drivers side left or right(facing truck)
Will probably get it at Trademotion, since I am off warranty

Mine came off on the front and slightly dented the roof. I noticed dents 3 month later while standing on ATV in trailer. Dealer called paintless dent guy and fixed. The rubber strip was smacking the roof. I kept the old one in case I lost one after warrant expired. This was on my 2009.

They need the time. the molding is held on by clips at the ends and double side 3m tape at a couple locations. Done properly they would have to clean all the areas properly for the adheasion to work. some things you dont rush, this is one of them

No clips on my 2013. I took them both off to add the OEM rack. They just pulled off from the front to back.

My 14 just snaps on over your roof rack mounts and just one piece of tape by the rear window. I'm all for getting the job done right. I feel like some time the dealerships like to rip off the warranty company or even the manufacturer. If you think about it they are doing one side of my car in the mechanic book it claims 3 hours of labor the dealership gets reimburse for 3 hours when their tech did it in 1 hour. Eventually the extra money the warranty or manufacturers pay out just for labor. We as the customers are going to pay higher price for vehicles as well as warranties...
