I have been searching everywhere to get a real answer. Figured I would check here. I have. 2014 double cab, 4x4. Putting a 6 inch BDS kit on it. I want to run 20x10s on 295/55r20 nitto trail grapplers. Will it work without rubbing or anything? I have seen some say it will work fine seen some that say no so any help you guys can give would be great an would love to see pics of a tacoma with 6 inch lift and 20x10s. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

It will absolutely rub, with any 6" lift you still need to do a cab mount chop, remove the inner fender liner, flatten the pinch weld and trim the front bumper for clearance. I run 20x10's with 35's and my truck is lifted 8" in the front and I still have all of that stuff cut out. I am in the process of getting rid of the 20x10's it is a bad set up if you ever hit the dirt. A 20x10 with a 295 Trail is going to ride stiff as hell even on the road because that is very little sidewall and it is a E rated tire. I would highly suggest sticking with an 18" x 9 wheel so you get more sidewall height.

Yeah I won't go any smaller then 20s just my personal preference. Just trying to decide on 20x10 or 20x9 would prefer 20x10 but not wanting to have to cut a ton of stuff.

I run a 18 x 10 w 285/65r18 on my 6" lift and don't rub. The overall diameter you are wanting to run is almost the same as what I have its just that a 295 is 1/2" wider than a 285. Before I got my new wheels I was going to run the same thing 20 x 10 w 295/55r20 or a 295/60r20. Here is a pic of a Tacoma w a 6" lift w 295/60r20's to give you an idea. IMO the 295/60r20 will look better.

That's cool stick with the 20's but you might as well go to a full 35x12.5 tire if your just going for looks the bigger tire looks better. Go with the 9" wide rim your tires will look even better and ride better with a rounder profile on a 9" rim vs a 10" rim and it will be a little less rubbing.

You might want to consider the toyo at II versus the nitto. Nothing against the nitto but the nitto will be a heavier tire plus the toyo comes with a treadwear warranty and for an at tires it is very aggressive looking. I run the toyo at II right now and this is the smoothest tire I have had so far and it is a load e / 10ply tire.

Example of a 20" toyo at II

I am running a 20x9 with 0 offset with the 295/55/20 Terra Grappler M/T's with a 3" lift. There was very minimal trimming of the mud flap and no rub. It can be done, and the Nittos look awesome!
