Does anyone know of a good write-up or video that goes over the various aftermarket bits for making your truck viable for off-roading? I am trying to figure out what parts to get and why so I can get a better grasp on the whole thing. All of my experience with vehicles is with cars so I am pretty new to the truck and 4x4 world..

If this is a re-post please feel free to flame! :)

Take your money and hide it somewhere. Next, stay far away from TW!

    Agreed. TW empties your wallet.

But if you ignore these warnings, here's a thread with info about lifts. Check out Suspension forum too. Lots of people talk about off roading there. And check out the South East threads. There are a couple VA forums.

at this point everything is a re-post. you'll find endless amounts of mods here to make your truck more capable off-road. check out some regional threads, see if you can meet up with some local guys and you'll get a much better feel for what kind of mods will best suit what you want. your truck is plenty capable to mess around with, so get out in it with other experienced drivers before you start spending wads of cash
