You already paid for it, so why not? Besides, if something happens there's a record you brought it to them for service.

I just had my first done last weekend. Didnt want to run the first oil for 5k so I took it in at 3k with no problems. I marked the filter and double checked after and it was all good. I didn't know they rotated the tires untill I looked at the slip . My aftermarket tires came off my last truck and I had them marked already so I checked and they did rotate them. Thats the only thing I didn't want because I have them balanced and rotated at once at my tire shop and I was going the next day to have them done . No big deal, just glad I caught it so I could stay on track.I just know to tell dealer no rotate next time. Overall I hate having others wrench on my truck but my dealer is close and my budget is real tight at the moment so its hard to turn down what I have coming for free.

I don't care to wait an hour for an oil change and chance them to ruin my vehicle. I know all the tricks of the trade. After they screwed my cousin by not reinstalling the drain plug for his rear axle and then not covering the damage...no thanks lol. (yea that humming noise is normal....)

I've used it once at 5000 miles. But I changed my oil twice before I got to 5000 miles. I've had my truck 15 months and it only has 7500 mile son it so i will get them to change the oil every 2500 until my two years runs it which is 2 more oil changes. I am gonna mark the tires and filter before the 10K change.

I took the free service and have had zero issues. They treated me well and have always performed all services required ( I check before leaving ). At first the service writer was put off by me checking, until I explained that If they screwed up it is on them, If I don't check it and they screwed up it is as much my fault as theirs.

I even double check it when I do the maintenance.

I would say use them but like others said check the work. I marked my tires. Second time they screwed up my air pressure. I have factory installed D rated BFG ATs and door sticker shows 46. I had to show it to service writer the 3rd time. He looked at me funny when I told him.

I'm in the middle... Just had my 10k done and told them it was my last. Zero problems with my dealer, but the 80 mile round trip drive and the 90 minute wait is just not for me. I also use Mobile 1 after break in and plan on dumping the Taco oil and change to Mobile 1 soon. Already have my case of Toyo filters.

I also use Automotive Wolf to track all my toys maintenance. I have EVERY tank of gas listed to track my mileage.

i use the dealer but instead of waiting til 5k, i brought mine in every 3750 miles. you have five free oil changes, doesn't matter when you bring it in.

It was the wait time that gets me too. 2 hours for the first "complimentary" oil change, tire rotation, etc. Next time will drop the car off vs waiting.

I have 3 services left, I am going to mark the tires and filter next time. The last service they flipped my tires so the white lettering was in, they damaged eyery rim with the tire machine, and had to replace them with new ones. Don't go to kearny mesa Toyota!

Just picked up a '14, and I'll "pass" on the free dealer services. I always change my own oil on all my vehicles, especially when its a truck I love & want to hold on to for many years...

I will use the tire rotation, but pass on the oil changes. I am picky about my vehicles service. I also like to know that everything is done properly, including the choice of oils. The oil of choice on the first change will be Mobil 1 0w30, with a Wix filter. This will go in at 5000 miles.

I don't live very close to a dealer so instead of wasting over 2 hours for them to do it, I just do it myself. Never used a single one of my "free" changes. I also knew I wanted to use synthetic oil which is not "free" on the V6 oil changes so I just ordered 10 OEM filters for $47 and use either Mobil1 or Penzoil full synthetic all for around $35 and an hour of my time. Don't even need a jack to change the oil on the pre-runners or 4x4s, piece of cake!

It's not new, it's not Mexico
I used all my ToyotaCare services without any problems, even with aftermarket wheels. After the last one I bought the three services for $75. Again all the work was done correctly. I've owned a Camry, Celica, Supra & two Tacomas. NEVER had the service department make a mistake on any of my vehicles.

If you do not trust your dealer do it yourself, otherwise you paid for it when you bought the truck so use it.

I have good experience with this service. I stopped once the free period was gone. I do however hate how toyo now dont give out car washes with their services.....they charge $$. I guess I was always use to german dealerships giving me free washes anytime I bring the car in.
