    Haha, Jim, your killing me man..:D hell ya i remember, those chevy2's (which would become the Nova) fell out of favor here for street racing, they were just too damned light & sometimes down right dangerous, fuck they were fast tho'...

    Remember dropping V8's into Vega & first time you'd get on it there was soo much HP to weight ratio that the unibody frames would twist & blow out windshields..haha scared the living shit out of me, we discovered the fix was sub framing the hell out of it so at least everything wouldn't twist itself in half...

    & yeah, there WERE no ICON/CAMBURG/ALLPRO/DSMS/4WHEELPARTS/WHEELERS/FABTECH/etc:

    no shops at all, any MODS done were what you came up with...

    and that positively has to ride like shit.... when when that fails, I can picture it going right through your tire at probably like 60 mph, sigh. This goes right up there with the redneck roller coaster IMO.

    Why not do it right, do it safe and just buy the airbag helpers? Just because you had an extra set of springs doesn't mean you had to do this, at least not in this fashion.

    I hear you but must say most of that new innovation is going to make cars & trucks that Joe working on something in the driveway is not going to happen.. I know the tree huggers will love it that the ride gets 244 MPG and can make popcorn on the battery on the way to grandmas house.
