Hi all. This is my first post. I've been reading for a while and can't thank everyone enough for all the sharing that goes on.

I'm looking at my first Tacoma to replace an '07 Tundra. Tonight I looked at a 2012 DC 4x4 TRD Off Road at a dealer. It also has the JBL audio system with Navigation and off road tow package. It has 15K miles on it and looks pristine. While test driving it for about 30 minutes, I did noticed the 'shudder' that many have spoken about, but other than that it felt like a new truck. The price of this 2012 has been haggled down to $30K which is the best I've seen for similar used trucks. The used car appraiser wasn't there at night so I need to go back in the morning to have my Tundra looked at if I want to buy the Tacoma.

Here in California, a similarly equipped 2014 has an MSRP of $35K+. After discounts, most still sell for $33K+.

I'd like some opinions about the $30K price for the 2012, and also feedback on the quality and/or problems with the 2012's

Is it worth the extra 3K+ to pick up the 2014.

    Thanks in advance.

It depends I mean you are getting a decent truck for the money but do you want the full 3 fulls of warranty? It all depends on what you want in the truck. If you could give us a link to the truck that would be helpful.

I was told it would come with that the remainder of the original Toyota Warranty intact.

Wow. Can't get an SR5 for $30k here. Tacoma's are white hot and dealer inventories are loaded with SR5's & Pre-runners. Used Tacomas sell in just a few days, and for top dollar.
