    I work for the same department as you. We got icons on our Tahoes by telling the auto inspector that they where a leveling kit. If I was you I would call central cost prerunners. They had a lot of good info. We justified the cost by explaining that the shocks can be rebuilt. PM me if you want more info.

    I don't know if any of you live in northern CA but I saw this near my old home town , Marin County Sheriffs dept. If I remember correctly they are for search and rescue.

    I was given some devastating news this week. Tacomas are no longer on the contract so the newest patrol truck coming into my fleet is...a Nissan Frontier. I supposed it's still a lot better than a Chevy Colorado and a little better than a 3rd Gen Tacoma.

    Not yet. My truck is still in great shape, I go overboard with preventive maintenance, and it only has 57k miles on it. I'll delay it from being surveyed out for auction for as long as I can.
