Looking to move to a '14 4Runner. I have a trade-in number from a dealer, but I would like to find out what you think I could get from a private party. Located in San Diego.

    2012 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 Non-Entune
    Mileage: 28,000
Options: OEM bed mat, OEM bed extender, TRD Exhaust, Stubbs HD-SKO sliders, OME lift with 885/Dakar, Nitrochargers and LR UCA's (about 8k on lift), Weathertech floor mats.
Service history: Oil changed & Driveshaft lubed every 5k with Mobil 1 synthetic & Toyota filter. Air Filter/Cabin Filter replaced per schedule. I have the spark plugs, cabin filter and oil/filter for the 30k service upcoming.

Only two minor bad things about the truck. One is a result of a minor disagreement between a rock and my windshield resulting in a 6" crack in the windshield which does not affect the ability to see the road. Safelite should be able to replace the windshield if necessary for $200. Also, the exhaust hangar was bent and makes contact with the rear shackle which makes a vibrating sound every now again when stopped off-camber - should be easily fixable or hack the exhaust off after the axle if you plan to off-road.

Check your insurance, some will replace the glass without deductible.

USAA only came out and sealed the crack so it wouldn't expand. They won't replace the entire windshield.

    5100's all around. Front's set at 1.75" 265/75/16 Duratracs.
Well clean trade in for a stock truck in your area should be around 27,500. Add the lift and everything and you could probably get somewhere over 30k in a private sale.

If I could get $30k for private party then it might be good to hold onto it and sell privately. The dealer offered me a little less than your trade-in price above after some negotiating.

I know I did. Obviously no mods, but I agree about the only getting pennies on the dollar for add-ons.

Insurance replaced my entire window because of a rock chip. I paid nothing out of pocket but the bill was for 729.00. As your truck sits I would say it's worth 26 - 27 k private sale, and maybe around 25 trade.
