I get 21.5mpg on my double cab long bed V6 auto. This is on the highway at speeds of 70 mph. My mods: CAI, cat back exhaust, 40 lbs Avid light bar, and custom 30 lbs front skid plate. 21+ mpg is possible on a V6

I guess I am so used to the dumb winter blend I bought my truck in December so never seen it on REAL gas. I did just check mine with the mods I have 3" lift 285's stock gearing and I was at 17 so I guess all freeway miles I could get close to 19 modded I bet. So I take back my original statement and I stand corrected. Just watch out for the winter blend gas in the northern states it screws up your real gas mileage numbers!

2014 TRD OR, DCSB 4x4 V6. All stock except for a tonneau cover. 2600 total miles on odometer. Been running 91 octane the last few tanks.

Best I was getting all city driving before was 14.7 mpg, but finally got to rack up some miles on a highway trip and averaged a respectable 19.5 mpg. Kept my speed about 70 mph and tried to stay as close to 2000 rpms as possible. Was really questioning the 20+ mpgs on the V6, but starting to think it is truly plausible to see these numbers. Could this be the results of the summer gas making it to the pumps?

Yes the winter blends, the cold and snow tires do not help it costs me 2-3 MPG.

I get 22-23 mpg on the highway. I drive 100 miles round trip a day from 55-65 mph. Dc lb v6 auto. Shifts around 1500-1600. Just go easy on the pedal when taking off. People behind me at a red light prolly ain't I happy I drive like a grandpa but Owell! I can beat on the truck and still get 19-20 mpg.

Nicely put. I use to drive 210 miles round trip every day for several weeks. From 65-70 mph I got the best highway mileage on my Tacoma. Go easy on the gas pedal when you accelerating from a standstill. 21+ mpg is possible... OH BTW this is "With" my bed full of my construction tools in it too!!!

Only mods I have is a tonneua cover. Trucks is always full of fishin or hunting gear. I think slow acceleration is the key to good mileage.

I am averaging 22 mixed driving with a standard shift 2013 V6. I use 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th. I shift at 1500 and keep the tack 2000 or under. Hwy I have gotten 24. If there are no mods then your problem is you are too aggressive with the throttle.
