Yesterday, Saturday night 4-26-14 I just got my Tacoma!!!!! It's has everything I wanted!
2007 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, Access Cab, v6 <--Link Not sure how long it will be up on AutoTrader for.
I saved up for a while and just sold my car for $5,000 on craigslist Friday the 25th!
I got it for $18,500 out the door. Basically end of the month on last weekend type of deal.

    Couldn't stop smiling!

Alright I got it from a Toyota Dealer. I have a few questions and little things that bug me.

-When buying a used Tacoma at a Toyota Dealer are you supposed to get more than 1 key?(I only got 1)
-When buying a used Tacoma at a Toyota Dealer do you get the Alarm system?(I have to walk up and put my key in the door... No Remote)
-When buying a used Tacoma at a Toyota Dealer are they supposed to include a Manual?
-What maintenance should I be getting or around 94,xxx miles?

I'm super stoked on my new Tacoma! My girlfriend, friends and family are all happy. They know how bad I wanted to get one.
My girlfriend even gave me a $500 Gift card to use at 4 Wheel Parts! <--- She's a keeper!

Any additional information will be appreciated!

    Thank you!

Bro... yes to all the questions. I'd be pissed if I bought a truck and the dealer didnt include the remote to UNLOCK THE FRICKIN truck.

Ya I would think they would give you those items. May not of been turned in when person traded in truck. Would think dealer would go out of there way to get you all stated above. Congrats on the truck. Love the super white I got a 2010 last month and love it.

What he said, but used car dealers won't go out of their way unless you make them. Plus it's not to big of a deal, just go get another one.

P's buy parts from 4wp, just don't let them install it lol

X2 Do you know how much it costs to duplicate that key? I would have walked out the door , "call me when you have the keys. remotes, and manual." Congrats on the truck anyway.

When you buy a used car, you basically get whatever they have. Granted, since you bought it from the Toyota dealer, it would have been relatively easy to include in the negotiations for them to include the proper keys + manual. You should have gotten 2 regulars keys with remotes and 1 valet key.

Unfortunately, since you already bought it and drove off the lot there's not much you can do it about it. You can ask them but they don't have to do squat, and probably won't.

    Congrats on the truck.

Man, you gotta big problem with only ONE transponder key.
If that key every goes bad or you lose you'll be in for a big bill to replace the access control system. If no master keys are available, the system CANNOT be programmed to accept another key.
Get a second one ASAP. $125.00 cost, cut and programmed is usual at dealer. Clickers are easier and you can find/program them via on-line instructions. Maybe can get another key at a locksmith cheaper.
    Nice ride,
    Contrats...!!

Usually you've already signed the papers before they hand you any keys and realize you've been shortchanged. Probably what happened to him.

Congrats, man! I got a white OR 4x4, too, and I love the color (+1 Beavis). I made the same mistakes when I bought my Acura RDX (car before my Tacoma)...only got 1 key with it. Not sure how much the remote for the Taco costs, but Acura wanted $395+labor (programming) for the RDX key. I said no.

Time to get some mud on that white truck!

This is why you ask ahead of time. Or at the very least just tell them that it's unacceptable and you want a full set of keys.

Until you drive off the lot nothing is set in stone, even if you did sign the papers.

Everyone already gave the answers, but yes, was supposed to receive more than one key.

Congrats on the new truck, though! Welcome to the Taco Family

congrats man you should definitely come to one of the meets soon. As far as items from the dealer thats all stuff you should hash out with them. I don't think they are required to do any of that but if you bitch enough they will usually help you out.

To answer your maintenance question. The manual comes with a maintenance schedule, but since your dealer didn't give you one here is the maintenance guides through 120k miles. Congrats on the new truck.

Congrats young man! You got an awesome truck and investment. I remember being all smiles when I bought my first one in 1999. As others said, get the misc stuff worked out at the dealer and enjoy your new truck! Keep us updated as you enjoy it!

Crap that's what I was thinking I didn't even think to ask about that stuff till I was home... I have a Toyota hook up with the service manager at a different Toyota Dealer. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow if the dealer where I got my truck wont do anything.

    Thank you!

And thank you everyone else! I also plan on doing as much of the work as I can myself.
