All tail lights, Brake lights, Dash lights cut off..

Started up truck, Driving,

Dash lights cut off (except gauges)
Clock Reset (truck did not cut off)
All tail lights cut off, including roof
Brake lights not working.
Left blinker flashes 5 times then cuts off, every time between blinks mileage light cuts out, like the blinker.

All at the same time. Check fuses under hood and under dash, both fuses for the tail lights blown, replaced them, worked for about 4 pumps of the brakes, then cut off again, fuses blown.

Everything I can find says break light switch, but would that make my dash lights and tail lights go out too?

 

I had the same thing happen to me when I was towing a trailer that turned out to have stripped wires. The wires crossed and everything you described happened. I unhooked the trailer, replaced the fuse and everything was fine. I'd check to make sure you don't have a chaffed wire also.

 

Well I installed a hitch and trailer hook up about 6 months ago, havent had an issue, this just happened completely random, I check all my connections for the trailer light hook up and everything looks fine, I bought a good kit and made sure everything was in a safe place to avoid issues related to it...

I can't seem to find an answer for this though, seems like most on here are having 1 or 2 of these issues but not at the same time like mine, and most of them were caused by aftermarket mods.. I have not done anything to my truck except the trailer lights its totally stock
