Been looking at that one, I do like it... Thinking about the All Pro pack rack but yours seems a lot more usable. I think I can pull off putting my kayak carriers on the all pro a clear cab. Maybe others will post.

I checked tonight. I've got enough room for my kayak mounts on either side of the basket. I've got a Dagger 10.5 Axis boat. It sticks off the back quite a bit though.

Could build one, I did. First project but it came out OK. I would invest in a tube bender if I did it again

I just put this on. I had the guys at Relentless build me some crossbars that are a bit taller than their normal ones. The crossbars have tabs for a high lift and for some quick-fists to mount a shovel. I added a yakima load warrior to the top and can mount an ARB awning to either side - or off the back.

I ordered the Yakima Bedrock system before my truck came in and have some serious reservations about it after 6+ months of use hauling plastic boats.

    1. The manner in which it cinches against the plastic bed rails is suspect.

    2. At least 8" of the bed length is wasted as the rails do not run the entire way to the tail gate. The angle gets worse with longer boats.

    3. Lifting waterlogged boats over the bars defeats the purpose of hauling them in a truck bed.

    4. Using J-cradles on the Bedrock without a headache rack would make me a little nervous

I do like having the boats and tailgate both padded from one another, though. If I had to to do it again I'd go with something like KB Voodoo's crossbar system and add surf pads.

I've got a completely different opinion on the BedRock system. IMO it is rock solid. The Bars will not move at all (at least not on my truck). I don't mind putting my Kayak on them though you have a valid concern about the headache rack. I've got a set of KB VooDoo's racks and honestly I wouldn't consider putting my kayak on them along with my Load Warrior. Don't get me wrong they are a quality product but the weak link being that they are attached to the cleats themselves. I actually put a set of old Yakima Crossbars underneath them just to keep the Load Warrior from bouncing around so much.

Original set up. They look good but I would never put more than 60-70 lbs on them. Until I put the bars underneath them the basket would bounce over every bump.
After I put the bars underneath it was much better but did nothing for adding weight.

BedRock System. Much more stable. I have no reservations about putting much more weight in the basket now since it is distributed to the bed rails instead of the cleats.

    RearViewMirror,

Sweet looking truck, man. Say, the basket you have on your bedrock? Where did you pick that up? Does it come as a full set? Bars and Basket? Thanks

    Thank you!

As far as the rack goes... You basically piecemeal everything from Yakima to fit your specific needs. As far as I know they don't offer a specific set of anything.

    BedRock System

Load Warrior Basket *Note: Does not come with a cargo net*

    66" Cross Bars

That is my total set up and where I bought it from. On a side note I don't "believe" that the lock cores were supposed to be included with the BedRock mount. They were installed in the set which was great since they are almost $60.
