    Hey guys,

Toying with the idea of doing a direct mount of my newly acquired Loadwarrior basket to the top of my leer shell ala this post:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/128176-yakima-mega-warrior-basket-install.html

I'm not down with spending $300-500 to buy mounting rails etc...especially since I only plan on loading less than 100lbs worth of gear at any given time...Leer rates the top of my shell at 400lbs...I also like the lower profile look and accessing the rack via standing on the tailgate.

Anyone else have any experience with this? Curious if anyone had any bad experiences? My biggest concern in properly sealing the mount locations so there are no leaks.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Benjamin
