Exactly what I was thinking. Didn't see much drifting just alot of burning tires

The brown Supra? I have to give them kudos for the zip ties holding the front fascia on.

That's one sport that I just don't get .... drags, pro touring, autocross, OK, melting tires, I don't get it, same as burnout contests. Obviously invented by a tire company...LOL. To each his own, looks like you were having fun, that's all that matters.

I think I might be the only one in the world that just doesn't get drifting. I just don't see the point? I mean I did donuts in the parking lot when I was growing up and I don't mind the back end of the FR-S to step out just a little around a curve but just mindlessly burning up the tires? Never got it....:notsure:

why would anyone want to drive in the dirt/mud/sand/snow/ice when we have perfectly good roads to get to most places?

Looks like fun. How much do the sets of tires cost and are there specific types people use for drifting?

I just said I didn't understand it. It's not for me simple as that. The roads you mentioned usually are scenic.

If you're ever in WI, give me a holler. I'll show why drifting is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

This guy started it all regarding my notion of drifting my truck. Would love to get his feedback.

Couldn't tell ya, sorry! Make a request in the comments the videographer?? Is a pretty cool guy.

For my corolla, I buy eBay tires. For the Tacoma, the tires were found at a dealership. Any tire will do, I'm not picky. There are different things you can do to make them last longer too. For example, I run 35/80psi (front/rear) in my corolla. The Tacoma I was running 35/60psi. If you have any questions pm me I'm happy to try to answer them!

    Hahaha thanks!

I'm still wondering how you got both tires spinning instead of peg leg.

My passenger side rear tire is my drive tire, & it seems to stay spinning/locked up pretty consistently. Thats why all my drifts/spins are turning to the left. The driver side rear is really doing nothing to sustain drift, except making smoke.

If I tried clockwise donuts, I'd be one wheeling it badly.

The key to drifting open diff is go fast & use weight shit. Its not shown in the video, but to initiate drift I flicked the wheel REALLY hard & threw in a clutch kick. That weight shit & speed carries you through the corner.

    Sorry, rambling!

That makes sense. Did the BMW have open diff as well? His donuts sucked, he didn't know how to navigate with both tires roasting.
