Im planning on purchasing a set of hood hinge light mounting brackets and have already decided I'm going with Rigid Dually lights. But what I cant decide on is if it would be better to go with the flood or spot beam. Most of my driving will be done on very dark back country roads.

Depends on what you want. For slow speed stuff where you want to see as wide as possible, go with floods. For higher speeds where you need more light further down the road, go with spots. If they'll be aimed toward the front, I'd go with spots that high up. If you'll aim them more towards the sides and down, then floods would be better.

I was having the same problem when I originally order mine as well. I started off with two of the spots and then I added third light which is a flood. The spots are better for normal driving and the flood is better for slower driving. Truthfully I wish I dropped the money for the driving dually's for my needs. They work great though in combination with each other.

The driving version right? Those are the ones I have but haven't had a chance to run them at night just yet.

Those two little lights have a decent output and then you imagine all these guys with several big light bars and wonder if it's really necessary.
For off-roading I think of how people did it thirty years ago if they didn't have some sort of gadget then, then I might not need it now. I say that because I'm guessing thirty years ago they didn't have the same light tech we have now.
