I finally did it. Yesterday was an all day affair. A couple little scratches putting the lugs back on but nothing not touch-upable in the future. Ordered some black lugs to replace the chrome, then everything silver or chrome will be black, even the exhaust! I'll finally be chrome free!

Yeah...You've got those black door handles and the blacked out emblems. Plus you've gotten to the BHLM and painted the stock grill black...

No copyright infringement or gayness...Good to go!!

Scared of what?? Worst thing that happens is you need to take them to a pro and get them fixed up...but it REALLY is easy.

There are TONS of write ups and tips all over the site....and we are open to answering any other questions you can throw at us.

    in short- GO FOR IT!!

Wow, thread revival. I can't believe I was rockin' those center caps. My black bumper was one acquired through a trade with a base model taco-owner. Simple swap...

Since the thread has already been revived, I might as well ask... Did you paint over the rim weights, or did you mark the tire and put them back on afterwards?

I like the look of the stock rim color better. Just my opinion. I do like some of the black out stuff, but the factory rim color provides a nice offset.
