FWIW, most Mercedes have hands free devices. And the majority of drivers who text are from 18-27 years of age......and are not driving a Mercedes.

They work very well. They have been on every International ambulance I've driven for the last 18 years. I've never had a issue with a blind spot while using them.

    I'm blind....so should I not be driving?

My auto driving Mercedes Z978.324 V45 90 litre was promised to have all the bells and whistles. They say it can park itself, in traffic. :notsure:

I'm old too, I found 2 gray pubes this morning while combovering my sack.

Goddamnit, my license should be revoked!!

On a serious note, blind spots are on every fucking car, what the hell are you talking about?

Cars dont come custom to fit each individual person. Yes, adjusting the mirrors properly and being "aware" of your surroundings helps, however, it doesnt help if the asshat that is weaving in and out of traffic at mach 9 snakes in the spot between your "awareness" glances.

And the dumbest comment goes too.......

    I really irritate myself sometimes.

    Bingo
Ever drive an FJ? Current generation Camaro?
Maybe those vehicles should not have been built.
Just wait until you're 55.... or until you're 40 and have injured your neck but still need to drive to work while you recover.
Their issues are not limited to their inability to turn their heads.
Or with a shell.... especially one loaded with gear and blocking the windows, or one that has doors instead of windows.

Wide angle mirrors are a perfectly acceptable alternative to not being able to see shit.
    Well duhhh....
Next time you're in LA, look me up. I was in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago but the schedule was too tight to connect with you.... but I did manage to get out south of Tonopah at 3am and got some cool pictures of the Milky Way my last night in town.

And the new Camaro. The FRS is nothing to be proud of.

UP #4014 "Big Boy" 4-8-8-4. One of the largest locomotives ever built in the US. There's one South African design that is bigger.
    500,000 tons.
The one in Pomona was in the best condition of all of the remaining samples.
UP traded a couple of Diesels for it and it was ferried back to Cheyenne where it will undergo full restoration (and conversion to burn Diesel oil instead of coal) and be put back into service.

The crew riding in the tender is the crew that worked the initial prep at the Pomona Museum and the 3-month prep at the UP Colton yard.

25mph all the way from LA to Cheyenne.
