Estimate my damage

Drove over one of those semi-circle concrete barriers that protect gas pumps from vehicles this morning. Damage appears to be the quarter panel, rear passenger door panel and the trim that goes around the passenger doors. I won't have a chance to run by the insurance company for a few days so in the meantime I'm curious how much this will cost to repair. Anyone have any ideas?

That sucks. Just guessing, but probably around $2K give or take a few hundred.

 

Yeah I was guessing around $2k too. There doesn't appear to be any damage to anything except for the exterior panels but that's just what I saw looking at for a few minutes.

 

3k+ if Toyota parts used

Yeah, I'd say more than $3k if they use OEM parts...the bed is all one piece from what I understand, the door shell, and the bottom section of the cab would all need to be replaced. Add paint and I could see that jumping over $3k.

 

Def a couple thousand, if only you had sliders..they might have saved you completely...

 

I used to write estimates for a body shop quite a few years back. Probably around $2500 to $3000. They might just replace the bed side, replace the flare and repair the rocker and door. That sucks, good luck.

They are. A standard bed side you have to cut and weld which save a lot labor.

Looks like you'll have to go full LT to replace that bedside

Id say 3000+ because it's across 4 areas and they will have to do fancy blending and maybe clear coat the whole thing.

if it is paid for, and thrust angle is within spec, and you are gonna keep it,
I'd leave it as is...but I like driving beaters anyhow

If you are paying out of pocket after they give you an estimate, ask how much if you pay all cash. Sometimes it works.
