I have a 2010 thats 4x4 and loaded. 4 door with the 4.0 in it. I accidentally sunk it in some water yesterday. I mean the steering wheel was under water. I know the entire motor as well as the cpu are done. Any thoughts on if they will total it out or attempt to fix it.....I owe about 23g on it

We just had a member from florida do the same thing. His insurance company totaled it. I'm betting the same for you.

How did it happen? Were you trail blazing when it happened? I would be very careful what I said to the insurance company.

Damn. That is bad. I'm taking that you didn't check water depth before attempting to cross....

Flooded 2010 will most likely be a total.

Good advice. I wouldn't list too many details of how it happened on a public forum. Don't tell the IC any more than they need to know.

Do not tell them that you were out for a day of trying to see how much abuse your truck could take.

You had an accident. Leave it at that.

It is totalled! Sorry, but usually can't be economically fixed after that much water. Did you hydro-lock the motor?

Water crossing is fine as long as you are smart about testing how deep and how solid the bottom is.

Getting in water over the steering wheel, just makes no sense to me with any truck. Doing it in a truck you still owe 23K dollars on, well Lets just leave it at that.
