2012-2014 Double Cab Storage Behind Rear Seat Differences?

    I posted this in the AV forum, but thought I'd check here also. I've searched extensively, but haven't been able to find an explanation. Are there differences in the behind the seat double cab storage bins (Non-JBL)?

    I'm feeling like a dumba$$ here, but the JL Audio Stealthbox for the 2012+ double cabs just arrived and I thought I'd check the fit. It doesn't seem to want to fit in my 2014 DCLB (no JBL) and then looking at pictures of it installed in a couple of other trucks the rear storage compartments look slightly different than mine. I'm confused, why this is and wondering if anyone knows the answer...

    My rear passenger side storage compartment looks like the one shown here where it is a straight line down the side near the door:

    The 2012+ JL Stealthbox seems to be made for one with a slight curve on the side near the door as seen here:
