I don't think they even tried to match the lines of the truck. They should stick with the square bodies of Jeeps....

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
I'm looking forward to see what configurations are available, but I'm a little concerned about the angle of the winch cable.

I like it - and the fact they are using aluminum means I like it more - the whole shenanigans with having a 230lb front bumper plus winch is absurd....

Where are you finding a bumper that weighs 230lbs?

I'm curious, but not if it's at the price they offer the wrangler bumpers at - most of them are $2000+ once you have a grill guard. Interesting, but too rich if that is their pricing.

I am curious as well like the fact that it's aluminum. Probably expensive as hell.

I think zmw is talking about other steel plate bumpers on the market. I am sure this bumper will weigh a lot less.

It looks okay. I've got BF bumpers. I went with steel because if needed in the future I can at least do any repairs to it myself rather than aluminum. it being modular shipping is ups. Thats a plus. I wonder if parts are replaceable.

I live in deer splattered area. What little driving I do I've already tagged an axis deer on the front corner. Dont know if this modular aluminum would've held up. But I would've replaced all front corner plus a headlight if I was stock.

ARB does not list the EDIT: WEIGHT of their bumper, but I was just on the phone with allpro and their front plate bumper weighs in at a hefty 140 lbs, add to that a decent size wench plus mounting hardware and you're nearing 200 lbs on the furthest point to the front you can get.

When talking to Allpro they have an identical aluminum one coming available that weighs just over 50 lbs - the stock bumper is almost 40 lbs.

My point is aluminum is as rigid and as durable, and weighs in at 1/4 the weight. I do admit that a STEEL bumper will be tolerant of hard impacts so if you are really looking to mow over kangaroo's steel may still be the material of choice.

I realize not everyone cares, but for me keeping the total weight of the truck down is important, I drive WAY WAY too much to not consider it and by the time I added 140 lbs of sliders, full skids and bumbers if I don't consider material you're up to additional 500-600 lbs of weight.

You have one of the use cases where steel may make sense... I would however suggest that an aluminess plate aluminum bumper would probably have been just fine.

Cool idea, but it looks like someone vomited scrap metal and some accessories on the front of that Tacoma. Looks horrible...

That winch line looks nuts, that angle can't be good.

Maybe. But I don't know how to weld aluminum, but am pretty good with steel.

so looking at All Pro's website, their bumper can weigh up to 180 lbs depending on how you've optioned it... NOT INCLUDING a winch... that's just too much, especially if you're not planning on upgrading to a heavier suspension... I really like the idea of an aluminum bumper, don't particularly like the way that one looks though.

Allpro says they have an aluminum version of their expedition bumper now, it's not on their website but they make it. I think it's like $1300 though ;(
