Hey yall, I have a four drawer Craftsman tool box that I want to strap down in my bed. The way I look at it the only way to do it is to drill some holes in the bed and add my own tie down points, but I was hoping maybe somebody here has a more creative way to do it maybe using the existing tie downs.

The thing weighs probably 100 pounds when it is all loaded up so I don't need it flying out of the bed in the event of a collision.

    Thanks for any ideas!

You could attach some angle iron across from each front tie down point and bolt the box to it.

Strap it w/ a ratchet strap against the front bed wall using the two D rings on the on either side of the bed wall. Maybe lace the strap over the top through a handle on the tool box? Maybe use the bed D rings over the top to hold it down and the bed wall D rings to hold it against the front bed wall.

That's a good idea and would definitely work, but I think I am looking to do something a little less permanent than that as I would want to be able to take it in and out pretty quickly. I will think it over though, might be able to make something like that work.
