this is really frustrating. It really shows that the goal here is to try to force people to dealerships and stop the do-it-yourselfers..

It just isn't worth it for them to print a service manual anymore. The costs are too high. The techs don't even use a printed manual anymore.

There's othe websites that have online manuals for much cheaper than $75 a month.

I totally prefer the electronic version also, just not the crazy subscription pricing. I am looking all over, what other websites are you talking about?

    thanks :)

Pay the fee and download and create your own electronic copy. That is what I did for my 2012. A little work, but it is good to have.

    Hi all.

    As stated above ...
TIS is a far better way to go. The 4 printed manuals would cost over 800 bucks if they did still print them - which they don't.
1 - You only need to get a 2 day standard subscription for 15 USD to get the info you need to address any problem you may have.
2 - For the monthly standard for 75 you can download the entire RM as well as the EWD and 30 tech courses, tech tips, NCF, service bulletins, etc. This is what I did for my '12 though it took some serious spare time, it was well worth it for me. I go back for a 2 day subscription every spring and get any new stuff.

So much more info at TIS than just the RM at a value of thousands of dollars.

    Cheers
    Ray.

For those thinking about a Mitchells DIY subscription, here's what they don't cover. Note the stuff in bold. Pulled this off their web site:

Mitchells DIY - what is not covered:

Body & Collision Repairs, Headlight / Tail Light Replacement. Windows & Regulators. Door Panels, Locks & Latches. Mirrors, Glass, Wipers, Filters R & I, Spark Plugs and Wires R & I, Radiators & Thermostats R & I, Non-Standard Parts.

I find this interesting. Many items that a DIY would be interested in not covered?

I have an ALLDataDIY subscription for an '06 Toyota Avalon. No doc on air filter replacement or spark plug change. The air filter is pretty much a no-brainer; the plug change requires doc in order to get thru. That task is highlighted in other areas of the web, but again, DIY tasks not available from DIY subscription services? WTF?

As stated above, go to techinfotoyota.com and download what you need.
