Overhead console

New toyota owner. Can the overhead console be installed in the 2014 model. The information I see elsewhere suggests good to 2008....

I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess I would say no. These trucks are "pre-wired", therefore many trucks will have the temperature sensor even if you don't have the display, you'll have the wiring even if you don't have the console, ect. Your problem will be that this year never had the overhead console, therefore the wiring ect will not be there and most likely the mounting points either. My 2006 had tabs where the Phillips head screws fastened the console to the underside of the roof, I'll bet that it's not there in 2014.

 

I have the 2014 double cab base sr5. I have a factory towing package with a radio upgrade to accommodate the backup camera. I am installing heated towing mirrors with turn signal. Plug and play except heat. Have to add the control circuit for the heat. It has the overhead console already with 2 lights and 2 holders for sunglasses.

 

o/h consoles for an 05-08 will not work on later year models. theres a plug and it gets power, but the wiring was changed up after 08 and you only get a blank line
