Ready Lift Strut Extension

Just finished putting on my new ready lift strut extensions, and diff drop. It was a pretty good deal, Managed to buy kit for $240 cash, installed my self, I still need to get alignment! But the kit included the two strut extensions, spracers and new bolts to drop the front differential, and skid plate spacers to alow room for lower diff! It is a very complete kit for the price, and an extra $100 I could have bought a rear block (with U bolts) to raise the back end up another inch, but I already have the back AAL's. The instructions that the company semt had great pictures, instructions were clear and easy to read! Took me about 3 hours all said and done!

Oh yeh BIG SHOUT OUT TO CHRIS4X4, unfortunately the intructions the company gave me for dropping the strut didn't exactly make the task easy, I found that the lower control arm still doesnt have enough give even after you loosen the bolts for the ball joints! So Chris4x4's bit on moving the sway bar, and upper ball joints was great, I also found that detaching the sway bar where its is fastened to the truck frame helped a great deal in the removal proccess!

Sounds good. How much did the lift give you in real world numbers?

 

I'd have to say the lift was actually a bit more more then 2 1/2", probably closer to 2 3/4 - 3". However I did have an AAL lift in the back, which caused the truck to rake towards the front, meaning the front probably sat a bit lower compared to a stock vehicle.

 

Good to hear the install was pretty easy. I have a Hell Bent Steel 2.5 leveling kit sitting in my garage I need to find time to install.

 

Just got back from getting aligntment, wow was the camber ever at a tilt, took the guy almost 2 hours to get the front aligned!
