Need some advice from you guys as I'm mostly a drive-it-as-it-is type guy. I'm looking to buy a soft cover for my bed. I don't have tools or anything expensive to keep back there. Just your standard suburban groceries, stroller or occasional kids bike. So I'm thinking that the ease of covering is the number 1 priority. Suggestions?

Some sort of tonneau cover would be good.

Pretty good range in prices depending on your budget.

Personally I want a softopper. It gives you a little more vertical clearance for some bigger items, and can still be taken down to have an open bed.

My dad has the Extang trifecta on his silverado. Holds up well and really easy to take on/off and fold up. I've debated getting that or the softopper, but like the softopper for use as like a rent for camping and such.

Do these tonneau covers offer any kind of theft deterrent or can they just be lifted by anybody?

    Unfortunately no :(

Doesn't help that the Tacoma has no locking tailgate, but that's another mod you could look into :D

I currently have an Undercover hard cover, but I have had an Extang soft and it was great.
