So far the only actual notice is from the OP in his part II thread, where his order for a regular cab was canceled by Toyota.

So I value you guys opinions. Been spending a lot of time here since registering.
So in your opinion, if no reg cabs are being built, will the ones on the lot sell quickly? Will they still sell those remaining at MSRP? I am working on a budget here I need to replace my 03 Taco soon but am unsure if I should wait or jump now. I want a reg cab 4X4 2.7 L auto trans what color it is means nothing to me :D

If you want one - jump now, or your going to miss out. When I found out they were not making the TRD Baja after this year - essentially meaning that since production of 2014 vehicles has ceased or will very very soon - I went and bought the only Black one in the state.

Had to drive 2 hours to the absolute WORST Toyota dealer in the state to get one.

That would be Toyota of Olympia [WA] just to warn you guys.

Bottom line - GO GET ONE NOW! Good Luck!

Bought a reg cab 4x4 just last week. Love it. Great truck. Did not know it is the last year of the reg cab. Sure glad I jumped on it. I don't need the extra cab space and I like the look of the reg cab. Sure sorry to see them go. Mine was the only one on the lot. I had been shopping and noticed how few there were.

Are there any leaked photos of the new Tacomas? Any other rumors I hear they are getting a more fuel efficient engine but it may be less powerful.

I'm going to probably wait until the 15's hit the lot and then if they aren't going to make any reg-cab 4x4 then I will buy a 14' reg-cab 4x4.

I'm still not convinced they're not going to keep making them......yet.

There is an 14' Tundra single cab long bed 4x4 5.7 that is really something I would like but I'm holding out for a '15 regcab Taco.

Hope it works out for you.

Could be that by the time you realize the 2015 regular cabs do not exist, you will be searching frantically for an overpriced leftover 2014 or going used. We already know that a build order for a 2014 regular cab has been canceled by Toyota recently.

This is weird since the 2014 reg cab is one of the fastest selling trucks on the market according to some other thread on here.

    I know.
I'm still seeing them sitting in inventories but I'm waiting for my 'situation' to go my way and then I will probably go for it.

According to the June sales figures, the 2014 Tacoma Reg Cab was the 4th best selling truck. Seems silly for Toyota to discontinue it.

I think that is for all Tacoma sales. According to this article, Toyota does not break down sales between the cab variations.

^^^That list is based on how many days a given truck sits on the lot before it's sold.I noticed how the Tacoma reg cab was the only reg cab on the top ten "fastest moving" truck list.

The point being is that reg cabs sell. There are a lot of people out there that buy a truck as a work horse and use a car for commuting and travel. In the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's, reg cabs were the only option for a truck. Then extended and double cabs came and enabled users to use a truck as a car with the additional room.
I prefer to use a truck for work alone. Just my preference. When I travel, I world prefer a car or an SUV for comfort.

I haven't seen anything from Toyota about this so really, it's not been confirmed.

Love my 2010 single cab. I'm a married guy with no kids so I don't need an AC

I want a 4.6L V8 AT regular cab, but that's not going to happen.

4th fastest selling, not 4th best selling. i.e. when a regular cab arrives on the lot, it gets sold very quickly, but dealers don't order many regular cabs from Toyota.

Regular cabs account for only about 10% of Tacoma sales... Ford sells more Raptors every year.
