I am removing my URD short shift kit and ran into a problem I didn't foresee. The shift plate came back off easily enough but now I have the spacer glues in place with RTV and can't figure out how to get it off??? Any advice? Both pieces are alum so I hate to get too forceful.

Putty knife finally worked, thanks. Being aluminum, I was hesitant to force it but I got it separated and am about to reinstall the factory lever. The kit will be in the classifieds soon if anyone is interested!

Why don't you just wedge a putty knife in there and work it loose? I've separated things with RTV on them before that way so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
