The brakes on my truck started giving the low speed squeak some where around 25,000 - 30,000 kms mark. By the time the truck went in for its 40,000km service I complained to the dealership who told me that Toyota brakes require " Brake Maintenance " at 36,000kms (which I declined) and every 25,000kms after that, so it was my fault they were squeaking because I turned down the service. Just before my 48,000 service I found the TSB and brought the truck into the dealership, threw the TSB in the service guys face and said " I told you it wasn't my fault...fix it "...they replaced all of my rear brakes and the problem was fixed at last!

My truck now has just over 76,000kms on it and the rear brakes are starting the squeak again just like they did before!!!

Has anybody else had this issue ? Are they just replacing the brakes under the TSB with the same crap that came off in the first place ?

Thanks for the link...apparently im not the only one.

I guess im just going to have to put up with the squeak or pay Toyota an extra $200+ every second service to clean and lubricate the rear brakes if I want the noise to go away...
