Tried out my DAC this evening on a steep stretch of dirt road. Didn't know exactly how it worked. Pretty disappointed.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Have to be in 4Lo with the gear select in "L."

Works great when 4 wheeling for a nice slow controlled descent without touching the brakes.

(It does activate the brakes for you)

Also makes a tremendous racket. Sounds like your front end is coming apart.

I got it to work. Just didn't realize all it did was ride the brakes for you. Hell I don't have any problem doing that. Guess I was hoping more for engine braking.

The noise was a big surprise.

Can't get any more engine braking than you would from 4lo.

You can get assistance from the brakes with DAC.

The best thing to do with the DAC feature is push the useless button into the dash and free up the spot for a more useful rocker switch.

From my understanding it modulates the brakes to keep you braking straight vs sliding sideways. I've never tried it, no hills big enough here in FL.

Do you have 4 wheel drive, and the front locker is different function spite 4wheel switch.or is air locker just a fancy word for push button locking front hubbs?

The front air locker is a selectable locking front differential that is air actuated.

I have had a few moments where I thought I was going over and the yaw sensor for them didn't trigger anything so I guess it takes quite a bit, certainly more than I care to push, off camber does funny things to my backside

    Winner!

It controls downhill speed and direction so you don't slide sideways and roll. It is for VERY STEEP GRADES, and specially ones with rocks , ruts and uneven surface. IT WORKS. Go to L4 (doesn't have to be in 1st gear), press button, and don't touch the brake! It is kind of freaky the first time you use it. Soon as you touch the gas or break, then you over-ride it and do what you want.

DAC works great. I have used it on off road trails with loose rock and snow. It did very well. It does make noise but it is nice. I used it once on a icy hill with a cliff on one side. My butt pucker distracted me enough that my attention needed to be on steering not on brakes and steering.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
DAC is one of the things I'll admit I like with the automatic setup, even if I'm not sure I could resist the urge to hit the brake or gas.
