You shouldn't need GAP. I think it is totaled as well. Hope everyone is OK. Who woulda thunk a Windstar was that stout:rolleyes:

I used to be an insurance adjuster, it's not necessarily the air bag that would throw it over into a total loss, but the facto the frame is bent. Op said there is a 3" difference between cab and box at either side.

If this were a 2012, 2013 or 2014 it would be fixed all day long, and likely get a new frame on top of that.

Honestly I hope they total it, because I'll always know that something isn't 'just right' even if it's fine. It'll never be the same.

Also surprised the curtain airbag didn't deploy. With the steering wheel deploying and on drivers side you would think it would have

Speaking from a recent mishap, Insurance just repaired the wifes car that had 150k miles and damage was 3/4 of the value and they repaired it. Something about the current economy of vehicles and new car sales they said they don't total much anymore unless there is serious structure damage. That was coming from a Geico representative.

I feel ya man. I just did this 2 weeks ago. F'ing sad. They totaled it. Just make sure to take any aftermarket parts off and replace them with stock if you want to reuse or sell.

I just don't know how they are going to deal with the custom parts like the lift, the 285/75 tires, rims, etc if they decide to repair it
