    Hi

Is there a place where tacoma and hilux coexist?

    Possibly Japan?

I've done a mod or two
I highly doubt it, I'm sure there are demonstration and testing models of the Tacoma in Japan but it is completely built and sold in North America and for the U.S./Canada/Mexico market. The Hilux is for everyone else *cough* stupid american regulations *cough*.

Deployed environments don't count haha. I saw HiLUx's everywhere in Afghanistan and some Tacomas. However, here in Korea I haven't seen any HiLuxes but there are a few Tacomas that troops have brought over from the states. Too bad I don't have a high enough rank to have mine here.

Saw plenty of Helix's in Aruba as well, but only a couple of Tacomas. The Tacos were most likely just purchased and imported by an auction or something along those lines because they were all sort of rough looking.

Here is my 05 Tacoma parked next to a Hilux in Germany. Pic is from 2006. The Germans were jealous of how many cupholders mine had, and thought the load capacity was cute.

I will also vouch for Mexico having both. I have been working down here for over 3 months this year and see a fair share of both the Hilux and Tacoma.

If you go to Mexico's Toyota website, they show the Hilux, Tacoma, and Tundra as all being options to purchase in that country. It is definitely interesting sometimes to check out foreign auto sites just to see what is available where.

In Jamaica I saw a few Tacomas, all modded in some way, but I saw a lot more Hilux's.
