I don't want to screw this up,

So from those of you who have cut out your Grille to install a new Grille, what did you use to cut it out.

    thanks in advance.

My truck is Black (202), purchased a new Black Grille for this mod. Anyone looking for a Chrome Grille? cheep..

I know I'm a 1st GEN but cutting a grille is cutting a grille, highly recommend not using a sawzall due to the vibration. I used a dremel and a hacksaw blade, just the blade made a handle with duct tape then painted all the raw cuts black

I just used a dremel. Cut a rough hole or originally and then go back and clean it up. Don't try to cut it out perfectly the first time.

I put that grill in a few months ago. What I did was carefully marked the edges with a silver sharpie and then used a dremel with this bit to cut it out.

It was actually really easy. Now the shaping of the grille was a PITA.

On my 06 satoshi i hand cut it with a hack saw blade wearing a garden glove. Then made some cuts using tin snips. I know these are some of the worst choices but i decided to go slow and steady and not fuck it up. I knew i would be bondoing and sanding whatever i messed up so i didnt want to use much power tools. Just a sander. Idk if you will need to sand if doing a flush mount grill.

Non of the above, We cut a grill out of a 2013 with a Reciprocating air saw. also did some finish work with a air small disk sander wheel.

I just did a Satoshi Grill last week. Here. I used a dremel for everything it got it done, but it took longer than it needed to be. I could of used a angle grinder with a cut off wheel, reciprocating saw and that dremel bit, but didn't feel like driving to my grandpas house lol.

i used a dremel and was all nervous about it. really, it's a piece of cake. if you are moderately good at the game Operation you will do fine.
