I'm not a big fan of BFG's, they're 70's tech and there are much better options. I've had a set of open countries and now have the OC 2's and like them. The original's didn't last long, maybe about 40,000 miles and the new ones I've only had for a few months. The 2's are great in the rain and on road, haven't used them in winter or anything rougher than a dirt road yet. Ride is good and the noise isn't much at all.

I have the dynapro right now they are a nice nice tire. Toyo open country are too soft but they are amazing. The tires I've been the most impressed with were the toyo at. Amazing grip they last forever but the price is not cool.

I can only speak for the bfgs and nittos, in my eyes the tires are very similar. I liked my bfgs they wear pretty well and last a while, most peoples gripe is that they can hold little rocks in the tread.

The nittos are also really good tires, and personally it was hard for me to tell a huge difference between the two. The bfgs might last a little bit longer.

I really like both tires but I have only bought one set of bfgs because theyre so darn expensive, I went with nitto for my new 33's because they were cheaper and american tire had $100 off at the time so I got a good deal on them. I guess my point is if its between the bfgs and nittos, go with the cheaper set because theyre both good tires.

edit: toyos were too expensive for me, and theyre a pretty heavy set of tires from what ive been told

ive had bfg and toyo at2...as stated above the bfg is old technology and they cup terribly! I also found much less rolling resistence with the toyo and road noise

Doesn't it make a difference as to what you want to do with them? So what are your plans in regard to your truck.

Great, thank you for the input guys!

Well I mainly drive 70% on road and the other 30% off road. And when I do go off road its nothing extreme. I am just familiar with the BFG's and like their 3 ply side wall for stronger tires. But I have never had to put new tires on this truck and am looking to get some 265/75r16's and want it to ride nice. SO it looks like I'm debating on the BFG's or the Toyo's.
