So I plug my cell phone charger up, Turn the swich, press the outlet button on the dash and it lights up for a few seconds then kicks off....
    Anyone know whats causing this?
I can hold the button in and both the lights come on then kick off after a few seconds

    1. start the truck

    2. press (and/or hold) inverter-switch until both sides illuminate (1XXwatt & 400watt)

    3. plug desired cord into receptacle in the bed, enjoy up to 3.3amps of 120v power !

    * if this doesn't work, take it to a dealer... there's something wrong.

I believe by reading other threads and posts on here that the inverter is defective. I tried doing what you said and still have the same problem. While pushing the button in the lights stay on for a few seconds and then kick off.
