    I'm Thinking...Oh Yeah...An FJ
It's all in my head at the moment...
    EMBLEMS ARE GONE.

Ok, finally got off my ass and spent the morning with my 'Coma. It just turned 15,000 miles old so I thought I'd do some nice things for it. First, new wiper blades. 22" on the driver's side, 21" on the passenger's side (Anco's) Then an oil change and filter. Put in Mobil 1 5w30 and a Toyota filter. I even put on a new crush washer on the oil drain plug ,new ones are aluminum, dealer wanted to charge $2.15 for that but after I used my outside voice and dropped an "F-bomb"(they may reconsider that part about having the waiting room next to the parts counter), he tossed the new washer in the filter box. I had been getting the truck serviced at the dealer as part of a free 3 oil changes and tire rotations with my purchase of the new truck. I discovered that there wasn't even a washer on the drain plug and the rubber cover at the filter drain was gone. Douche-Nozzles!

Hey, in light of the recent drain plug mix up that was brought to our attention in another thread, if you use a Toyota filter, make sure you take off the clear Saran-Wrap type plastic that covers the business end of the filter. I know I wouldn't make that mistake of leaving it on but there may be a few challenged folks here that could.

Ok, back to the rest of the story. I dry lubed all them moving parts ie: door hinges, door locks and latches, tailgate handle and lock, toolbox lock, hood latch and hinges. I found some good stuff from PB Blaster. It's thier dry lube with teflon. It sprays on clears and wet but dries almost instantly to a white powder....Nice! Has the red straw so you can really get in to them places.

While I was doing all this, inbetween I was de-badging. I found some great stuff at AutoZone. It's a sticker/adhesive desolver. It comes in a spray can and also has the red straw. I don't have the name off hand, can is in the truck but it has a Red Maple leaf in the upper left corner of the label. It's made by them hockey loving freaks to the North. I sprayed it down the back of the emblems and let it soak. I wiped up the drizzle and went back to other things. 10 minutes later, some fishing line and leather gloves...Urethra! They practically fell off and the glue still on the paint rolled up in my fingers like them good boogers you'd get working in woodshop. A coat of wax and the paint was a shinin'.

Changed the cabin air filter, Cheaper than I thought at the dealer so I grabbed one. $22.00, I know, I know..."you can get them cheaper and or make them yourself." Having it "NOW" far outways the wait. Wow....there was some stuff in there. The old filter was black. That was a 2 minute job. One thing I have to do is hope that when my neighbor runs over that glovebox shock absorber thingy with his lawnmower, (yes, it took flight after some brief frustration) it doesn't end up bouncing off the side of my truck.

Then the rest of the day will be the usual stuff. Vaccuum, windows, tireshine, etc,etc....etc.

Ok, I have a complete set of emblems to who ever wants them (PM) me with your details. I work for FedEx so it won't cost me jack-doodles to send them.
    100_0185.jpg

    Stipulations for the emblems are:
If you ever called me fat, you're out.
If you think these jeans make me look fat, no dice.
If your double-wide is better than mine, nice try.
If you turned me down for a date to the prom, get bent.
If you don't mind your ponytail being used as a six speed (ladies), you might have a chance.
If you promise to never to start a thread/post asking about Debadging, Synthetic Oil or Tire Sizes without searching, your name is in the hat.

    100_0188.jpg
Thank you for your time. I stole the glove mod. It does work good.

    Found it----->SLSR.jpg

Taco-Runner? Hmmm...got a part time job delivering Mexican food do ya?

I'm not gonna send out each individual piece. I see a bunch of owners here that contemplate painting the emblems to match or offset their truck's color. I figured that someone would want the complete set. I'd feel better to send them to someone who would use them in this manner than to hack them up only to realize it was a stupid mistake.
