Plug-end of trailer wiring - homemade simple bracket?

    I am just about to install my Curt T-Connector wiring (55513) and the kit does not come with a bracket for the plug-end.

    Any homemade ones, other than the heavy-duty one sold here by a forumite, or the $5.99 cheap metal one?

    I am thinking more like repurposing a commonly available item or part, nothing fancy, sort of keeping the creativity juices going...

    Why it is not part of the kit is a mystery....
    The first part listed above has a MSRP of a buck and twenty three cents!

    Here are some pic of the setup that I bought. Hope these help. There are to different parts I posted links to both earlier in the thread. The second part comes with a hose clamp that goes around the hitch. The part that you bought bolts to this.

    Yeah it would be nice. I am guessing because there are 2 different lengths in the bracket that gets clamped to the hitch. I went with the shorter one.
