Down to 2mm on my stock pads, and rotors need a resurfacing. 47k on truck. Local shop will replace pads and resurface rotors for $200. I'm thinking of buying either OEM pads and rotors, or possibly going with some drilled/slotted black rotors with ceramic pads. If I go the second route is there a preferred company to use for better performance? I was thinking Powerslot and Hawks but wasn't sure if there is a new in thing these days.

I run EBC slotted / dimpled rotors and Hawk HPS pads. You can get the rotors and pads from Autoanything.Com for about $260 shipped with a coupon code. Better deal than a resurfacing job IMO.

i went to the ceramic pads, i think they work better and seems to last longer, i think i got them at autozone for little under $100 per side, so far i think it was worth it

got powerstop drilled and slotted with the optional hd metallic pads they work good but as well as the ebc I had before.
ceramic while good, I personally found that they tend to glaze after time and make one press the pedal harder to stop. metallic pads tend to eat rotors but have well proven them selfs over the 50 years they have been on my 64 corvette ,the hotter they get the better they stop.
