Ok so all 3 U joints have been replaced and there is still squeaking coming from underneath my truck. It's like a very high pitched squeal every now and then and it only lasts for a second. Also, it happens usually when going over a dip in the road where my shocks flex and hitting bumps. I don't think it's my shocks or springs because it sounds like a squeal from a moving part! I still think it's my driveshaft but someone please help because it's driving me insane!

    Thanks!

Try bouncing on each corner of the truck when it sits parked. Or rock the truck side to side and have someone go fond the noise.

Oh I meant to include in my original post that it IS NOT the leaf springs. I have had this truck for 5 years and I've had my fair share of leaf spring squeaks. This is not a squeak it's more of an in motion squeal. Almost sounds like a high pitched squealing belt but it's coming from somewhere between the back of the transmission and the rear differential

Interesting, does it happen all the time? If so spay some lube on the joins of the drive shaft and see if takes care of the problem

    I'd guess Carrier Bearing.

Well in starting to think carrier bearing as well since all of my u joints were replaced yesterday... And I'm 90% sure it's something on the driveshaft so really carrier bearing is only thing left... But my auto mechanic said a bad carrier bearing doesn't typically squeak

Could it be the body mount bushings?

Crawl under there and have another person wiggle the truck horizontally.

put the truck parking break on then put it in forward and then reverse slowly a few times and see if it re occurs ..... Do NOT get under the truck when doing this.

if you have a go pro, or access to one, you could check many things, driveshaft flex, axle housing flex under braking and acceleration...

    just a thought..

I don't think shaking the truck or slowly rollin it will show anything. I mean the noise only happens when I'm actually traveling in the truck and hit a bump or a divet in the road.

Did you ever figure this out? Mine is making a similar sound, but just when I accelerate between 0-10 mph. It is definitely associated with the driveline. I checked the U-joints and greased them last night to no avail. I know for certain that my carrier bearing is loose, but I'm not sure if that's the culprit yet.

That's a great way to diagnose an issue. Ive used that method several times.
