What Would YOU do?

Get the settlement from the insurance company and then sell the truck as-is on the after market. Take the proceeds and bargain for a '14.
millsmotors.com is the place i dealt with.
In my case I had a '02 Taco x-cab 4cyl 2wd paid 15.5k for. Collision caused 5k damage, and they said it was worth 10k so no total. With the all the front damage and a 10 year old truck, decided not to fix:
Called mills motors and got it towed and a cert ck for $2600, added to the $5000; took 7600 to buy a new one. In effect i got back 1/2 the value after 10 years. After a fix the car fax would have destroyed the value.
Anyway, another idea for you.....

 

Carfax doesn't show every accident just the ones insurance reports to them. My last car had it's quarter panel replaced while in my possession and still had a clean carfax. Just fyi

I just don't see much of a difference between my situation and the guys that are getting their frames replaced due to rust issues.

 

Are you having a Toyota Dealership fix it? If so then if you don't like it go trade it in there. If they want to hose you on the trade in value ask them why especially since they did the work. Just a thought

 

I'd get the insurance money and put it right back into the vehicle. 1 ton locked axles, tube the back half of it, coil overs, rear 4 link, 40" tires..

or trade it in.

Frame comes in tomorrow and they said I shld have my truck back in about a week and a half...the modding fever has built up and I will feel sorry for my wallet when i do get her back!
