    Hi All,

I know I will get a lot of hate-responses for this since there are so many threads about the lift topic...but that is essentially the problem - it's information overload!

I do light offroading, and really have no plans on doing anything much more than that based on my lack of free time and the area I live in. I would like to add a small lift to my taco...maybe like 2 inches (not really sure)....mostly for the look.

I don't plan on getting tires any larger than stock size. I don't mind spending money (within reason) for quality parts. I just don't know what I would need (extreme mechanical newb here) for a simple lift-for-looks.

    Thanks!

5100's in the front if you want to go level. Throw them on all 4 corners + an AAL if you want to go higher. OME/Toyotec works as well

This for the rear: AAL and blocks are just awful. New leaf pack is the best option for the rear if it is within budget. Since the truck is new (2014) the progressive AAL pack I linked above should be a good option for you. They are, on the other hand, bad if the leafs are flat or "frowning".

Bilsteins all around on eibach coils are a great option for what you are looking for. I have seen people on here run OME coils on Billies too. That is another option.

I would just find the list of lifts. Close your eyes. And pick one. Done

Thanks for the input guys! So if I wanted a 2-inch lift, I could simply go with the bilsteins all around? Would I still need an AAL?

Also, dumb questions...the TRD OR package has bilsteins - what's the difference?

Bilstein 5100's are adjustable and much better than the stock Bilsteins.

Ah ok, thanks! As I said before, I'm a mechanical newb, trying to learn as much as I can. I really embrace the "there are no stupid questions" theory :)

You can adjust the 5100s from stock hieght to 2.5 inches of lift on the front. You truck stock is one in higher in the rear. If you ad 2 inches to the fron you will be nose high an Inch. I would suggest a 1.5 inch add a leaf to correct the lean

Correct. You add it to the existing pack.

The OME 884s on the bilsteins will be really close to 2" of lift. Or you can run your stock coils at the 1.75" setting. Both setups though will probably require you to lift the rear a little bit as well. The standard 3 Leaf progressive AAL set would be the best options.

Hey, check out our website. We sell what mademan925 (Nick) Suggested. Bilstein 0-2.5" Lift up front with a 1.5" Add a leaf in the rear with new bilsteins in the back. Would be looking at around $550 for everything. Give me a call if you have anymore questions.

Helpful post indeed. I know what you mean about info overload, but the responses were helpful for this guy too.

I'm thinkin bout installing bilsteins all around, with the fronts set at 2.5. Using the stock coils(for now at least). And a wheelers leaf pack in the rear.

What do y'all think about this set up?

i wouldnt recommend 2.5 with stock coils... ride is going to be on the harsher side. i have my stock TRD OR coils at the 1.75 and its a nice firm compared to stock but its not harsh... but i can imagine the next step up is going to be rather harsh.

Also while your at it grab a 1/4in top plate spacer to get rid of taco lean... you have it i guarentee it.
