In 7 years I'll be 51 and retired. I plan on it taking me to Colorado to live out the rest of my days enjoying the mountains.

I keep my cars till they die. I bought the Tacoma because the frame rotted out on my 11 yo Dodge and couldn't get another sticker.

We were already planning the move back to Cali so frame rot became a non-issue.

Ever since the 2nd gen came out in '05, I have always wanted one. It took a few vehicles to realize that but now that I have my '11, I don't want anything else. I have taken a virgin, one owner bone stock truck to what it is today. Making my truck unique(ish) and personalizing it however I wanted has brought great satisfaction. I will drive this truck until the wheels fall off and then get better stronger ones. If something breaks, I'll get a better one. If the motor pops, a 4bt will be in it's place. Until then, I will drive it and take care of it and baby it. I also have plans for getting a little commuter car like an older civic or something to keep the miles lower. That way hopefully it will have lots and lots of life with less chance of a dumb teenage girl smashing it up while I drive to and from work.

Definitely a 1-owner here. Had an '06 tacoma and an '08 subaru...traded both in for my "forever" truck :) Well, at least forever until it (or I!) rust away...

I don't foresee any reason that I'd ever get rid of mine. It's my primary driver now, but in a few years I'm sure I'll get something else and keep the truck as a workhorse/toy.

I'll probably keep mine until sometime past 100k on the ODO and then see what the current Taco has to offer then. Or trade up to a full-size maybe. I guess it depends on what life throws my way.

Yup. I'll probably keep mine and see what the 3rd Gen offers when they finally release it. I'll wait a few years before getting one (assuming I like it) so they can get some of the bugs worked out of it.

I bought my truck as an adventure rig, I plan to continue to have adventures in it indefinitely, the only thing I would look at changing is if the engine gets messed up in a way that it can't be rebuilt I'd go 4D turbo diesel and keep on, Wheeling, camping and exploring
