need help asap!!!

    i installed a progressive aal but now i wanted to reinstall the overload but when i unbolted everything and let down the rear end the pumpkin rolled forward and now i cannot realign the rear axle to get it back in! any help? my truck is apart in my back yard as we speak

    I just a giant crow bar to get mine back in place. i did loosen all u bolts on both sides.

    I never lifted one up without a jack but I expect its going to be too heavy to actually lift up by hand if its laying on the ground under the truck.

    Use a jack and raise one side of the axle enough to get a jackstand under it. Do the same with the other side. Then you should be able to use the jack on the forward end of the diff to rotate it back. Reset the jack on the bottom of the diff and you can raise and lower the whole thing.

    Jack it up and put one end of the ratchet strap in the frame and the other end around the axle. Use the jack to get the right height and the ratchet straps to center the axle to line it up.

    Prybar, jack, ratchet strap. Or any combination of the 3. You can also loosen the u-bolts on the other side to help it pivot better
